The Dinosaur Hat

Jordan's homework for school was to make a dinosaur hat for Dinosaur day on Thursday so I purchased some foam stuff from Michael's and this is what her and Michael came up with. It came out awesome. It's two dinosaurs walking through the marsh eating from the palm tree in water. You can't see some of those details but they did a great job and Jordan did most of the cutting it was great.

Busy Day but we paid for it!

We had the busiest day on Saturday, we went to a school fund raiser in the morning at Jordan's school called Fun Fair the kids didn't want to leave and then we went to see a play called "HONK" that a friend of Michael's was directing down in Springfield. It was really good the kids really liked it, it was based on the story of the ugly duckly but a little long for them. Of course Madison slept most of the day and you go it... she was up most of the night. Oh well, it won't last forever.

Leprechaun Trap

Jordan had to catch a leprechaun so she lured him with the offer of a nice new home. Complete with a pot of lucky charms, a comfy chair and bed (her daddy made) and she cut out some pictures for ambiance. She even wrote him a letter inviting him with her lucky charms, alas he was not fooled and we did not catch a leprechaun.

The Elusive Smile

How come I'm the only one who can't get a smile out of my daughter. Michael walks in a room, she lights up, Jordan and Kaleigh sing for her and she just smiles away. I talk to her and what do I get, the "is it time to eat yet?" look. I have to beg and plead to get the half smile, everyone else the full smile. Madison "Only mom will love you no matter what even if she doesn't get the smile."

The Dragon that Daddy Slain

So the girls have been asking for weeks if they could make the dragon from the sleeping beauty movie. If you all have this movie you know Disney's marketing plan, so they can charge extra money for an old video, brilliant really. So we finally collected enough of the supplies so we could make two, because you know we can't just make one. It looks like the easiest thing, a milk carton (no problem), paper plates and cup (no problem), tape, markers and construction paper (no problem).....egg carton (PROBLEM) we don't eat eggs any more. Since we are watching our cholesterol, we don't buy eggs, only egg beaters. So we had to wait until Easter coming so we could buy eggs to color and use the carton. It was worth the wait and the girls loved them, Michael did a lot of cutting while I did a lot of directing, IE..."make sure you cut that at an angle." It looks so simple and yet too a lot longer than anyone thought. Thanks for the patience hon.

Survived my first of many evening with just me and the girls.

OK since Michael started his new project and now has a bunch of employees beneath him he has all these meetings he has to go to and some nights he has to work late, so you can imagine my joy in having three little girls all by myself until bed time. Which is of course the time that Madison also wants to nurse and stories have to be read and baths have to be given, with out any help. Yes I still have my hair only patches of it are gone. Hopefully over the next few weeks we can figure out a routine so we won't have any more of those crazy nights, otherwise I have to hire a nanny!! Pray for me.
