Happy 6th Birthday - Jordan - 6/20/01

Happy Birthday - Girl. Yes Jordan turned six on June 20, 2007. She had a party at school before we went on vacation, then for her actual birthday we took her to Chuck-E-Cheese (her favorite place, our least) and went to the toy store to pick out a toy that she wanted. She had a blast. I can't believe she's six years old. I can't believe my oldest child is getting so big. It's wonderful and sad at the same time. It seems like only yesterday they put her in my arms, what a journey it has been. Jordan, you are by far the sweetest little girl. Your heart is so big it could take up the space in 10 people. Your love for all of us is amazing, you love with out condition. I pray that you will always love with such fervor. I love to hear you singing your praise songs through out the house and the songs you learn in school, no matter how off key you are. Your priceless, not just to us but all who meet you. We love you and we're so excited to see the young lady you will become.

To think only 10 more years until your driving. That's not long enough!

Mini Vacation

We went on a mini vacation this year to the Outerbanks. We usually go with Michael's family and really enjoy our time away. Though we only spend 4 days there, we had a great time in those 4 days. The kids go to see there cousins and best of all we got to spend time together without trying to squeeze in all the things that need to be done while we are at home. Thanks God for vacations.
The weather was great the day we were leaving.

The five of us - yes we were at the beach and it was cold, which is why we are wearing sweat shirts.

Kaleigh really wanted her hair in a wrap but I refused to pay $3 an inch so Michele my sister in-law did for free, fortunately Kaleigh had to sit still for a long period. Kaleigh never sits still if she does she falls asleep from exhaustion, that would be my energizer bunny. At least she got in a 45 minute nap.

Girls at one of their favorite places

So after three days of "Mom can we fill the pool up today and go swimming?" and wanting to do something different, I took the girls to Reston Town Center it's one of their favorite places to run around and throw coins in the fountain. It was a hot and breezy day so it was cool that we got stand by the fountain and get lightly sprayed by the water to cool off. Great way to start a weekend.

My Very Talented Friend Courtney

My friend Courtney is so talented, she usually gives me my inspiration but she is so good with her painting I just ask her to help me out when I need a gift. She is awesome and an awesome person as well.

Fun in the Sun

So I didn't think I could take all three kids to the pool by myself so I purchased one of these for our deck and it seems to satisfy them. Especially in 87 degree wheather.
